Thoughts from the lesson:

In combined Priesthood/RS we discussed MINISTERING - specifically, Ministering in the Home - taking opportunities to teach, strengthen, and bless those that we have stewardship for.

A specific example was from the Fillmore family's recent sealing to their adopted daughter, Hazel. Following the sealing ordinance, Jeremy took the opportunity to talk to his family, to bear his testimony to them, and to challenge them to remember the importance of the Temple.

Doesn't need to be big, memorable moments. When the moment comes, be willing and ready to take it and do something.

Come to know and understand the needs of individuals - whether in our families, those that we Home and Visit Teach, those that we serve in our callings - so that we will know how to minister to each individually as the Savior did.

Our Bishop's Challenge to us:

1. We need to minister to ourselves first - fill our own buckets spiritually so that we can have the spirit in our lives. This can be done as we read our scriptures, pray, and attend the Temple.

2.  We need to be full of the Spirit so that the Lord can use us to minister to those around us.

3. Come unto Christ, so that He can show us our weaknesses and they can be made into strengths. We can then serve, asking "What would the Savior do?"

Have a fabulous week and don’t forget about the blog: http://m12rs.blogspot.com
