Our ward's newest parents tell a delightful story about their first outing in the car with the new
family. At one week old, it was time for Sydney and Hudson’s first weigh-in at
the doctor’s office. Two babies are fed and changed and dressed and wrapped and
loaded into car seats… car seats are laboriously strapped into the car (as properly as humanly
possible for first-time parents on a first outing), followed by more blankets,
and the trip has begun. What could they have possibly forgotten?! Reports
Austin, “The nurse had a funny look on her face when she held out her hand for
a clean diaper and we realized that with all that baggage and effort, we had
not brought a single extra diaper!” Giselle and Austin were, however, well prepared for yesterday's 2-week
check-up!
Thank you to the sisters who brought food during Sydney and Hudson's first week of life. After some
detailed discussion with her, Giselle’s visiting teachers have asked if the ward sisters
could continue to bring in meals to the family for a short while longer. Since we are
honored to be helpful to this lovely family, we say yes! The clipboard with
sign-up spots will be passed around in Relief Society on 1.13.13, but call Amy W.
in case there are opportunities remaining.
