Good afternoon sisters. I do believe that Spring has finally arrived.

THOUGHT: “There is strength and great capacity in the women of this Church. There is leadership and direction, a certain spirit of independence, and yet great satisfaction in being a part of this, the Lord's kingdom, and of working hand in hand with the priesthood to move it forward.
Gordon B. Hinckley

Our president Megan felt prompted to have us watch 2 excerpts from the Worldwide Leadership Broadcast. If you will go to LDS.org. On the home page, upper left box “2013 Worldwide Leadership Training “An expression of God's Love” - click view now. On the right side of the viewing screen, click on BLESSINGS OF THE PRIESTHOOD IN EVERY HOME, and BRINGING UP CHILDREN IN LIGHT AND TRUTH

These are two short videos that Megan showed to us. She said that she has watched these segments about four times and each time it has the same affect on her. It is a message from Heavenly Father, letting us know that we matter, that we have something to contribute, that what we do contribute is enough. In DAUGHTERS IN MY KINGDOM, chapter 8, Sister Sheri Dew says: The power of the priesthood heals, protects, and inoculates all of the righteous against the powers of darkness.” This is a powerful blessing to us. Sisters, I encourage you to read Chapter 8 of Daughters in My Kingdom “Blessings of the Priesthood for All.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses our lives. The Atonement gives us strength and hope. The Scriptures are true. Our role as women is vital to the Kingdom and families.

Next week's lesson is #9: Sacred Family Relationships

Have a great week.
