From Shoua E. and Chou S. (2 of Lee's 9 children): "Our mom is the most amazing mother in the world!!! She came to this country with three young children and my father. We had nothing. We couldn’t speak or read English. After two years in the US my father passed away. She sewed, babysat, and cleaned houses so we could live. She ALWAYS puts her children first. If there’s not enough food she will starve so her children can eat. She made her own clothes so that her children could use the money to buy their clothes. She used her hands so much that when she applied for US citizenship and needed to be fingerprinted, she had none to give. We went to several different specialists to get her fingerprinted and finally the last one said that her finger prints had worn away from using her hands so much. My mom is happiest when she is with her children and grandchildren. We love her so much!!"
